Ted Jung, DDS -Dr. Jung is one of 2 full time dentists at Northern Health Centers, Lakewood location. He is originally from the Chicago area and currently lives with his family in Chicago, IL while making weekly commutes to Lakewood working Monday through Thursday. After graduating from Loyola in 1993 and earning his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree, Dr. Jung went on to work at various public health settings, but found Lakewood to be his home away from home beginning to work at NHC in January of 2005. During his free time, Dr. Jung enjoys heading up to the UP to go camping, snowmobiling, and kayaking with friends. While home he enjoys spending time with his family and 2 dogs Charlotte and Canella.
Jack DeWolf, DMD -Dr. Jack DeWolf has been involved in community health dentistry for over 30 years. His main areas of interest are minimally invasive dentistry, and complex restorative cases. Dr. DeWolf grew up in Pennsylvania and graduated from the University Of Pennsylvania School Of Dental Medicine in 1981 as a member of the OKU national dental honorary society. He has remained a member of the Academy of General dentistry since 1981 and is a past-president of the Waupaca County Dental Association. Dr. DeWolf has received various awards through the Healthtap patient education system, including: Top Doctor, Thought Leader, Most Influential, and Top Dentist. He has truly inspired his two daughters who have become dentists, patients, and colleagues with his passion for dentistry.
Gisela Gunderson, RDH –Gisela is a registered dental hygienist at Northern Health Center’s Lakewood Clinic and also is the Site Manager for NHC’s Oconto Dental Clinic. She has been practicing Dental Hygiene since 2000 which is when she graduated from North Central Technical College in Wausau. Prior to that she worked chair side with the dentist as an assistant. In her over 16 years’ experience in the dental field, she has had the privilege of working in a variety of dental settings from private practice to large clinics like here at NHC. She says she truly enjoys practicing Dental Hygiene, educating her patients on how their oral health directly affects the health of their whole body. Doing such, Gisela plays a strong role as a member of our whole dental team. When not at work she takes her time with her many animals, mostly dogs and horses, and also appreciates boating, snowmobiling and hunting in the great north woods.
Ashlei Guarisco, RDH -Ashlei is a registered dental hygienist. She graduated from Northeast Wisconsin Technical College in Green Bay in 2008 as a member of the Phi Theta Kappa National Honor Society. After graduation, she relocated to the Big Island of Hawaii and worked as a hygienist until 2010. In 2011, Ashlei moved back to her home state of Wisconsin and began working with NHC as our Seal-A-Smile Coordinator. Ashlei now travels to 29 different schools across our 5 county service area educating children on oral health, offering free dental exams and fluoride varnishes, and applying sealants. She really loves working in the schools and with all of the kids!
Mackenzie Deaton, RDH -I am from the small town of Pickerel, Wi. I attended Laona High School and graduated from there in 2010. Having an interest in teeth, I knew from a young age that pursuing a career in the dental field would be the perfect fit for me. I graduated from Northcentral Technical College in May of 2015, with a degree in Dental Hygiene and certificate in Psychology. I began working here, at Northern Health Centers, in the fall and truly enjoy my job as a dental hygienist. I love working with the variety of patients we see and being able to help them achieve good oral health. I enjoy spending my free time with family and friends, baking, crafting, traveling, taking photographs, camping, and relaxing at the lake during the summer. I look forward to meeting all of you!
